Hardware Requirement
To access the Wireless Net, the student must have a desktop, notebook, or handheld computer with a WiFi, 802.11b or 802.11g adapter. These adapters are available in USB, PCI Cards, PC Cards (PCMCIA), and several other standard forms. Prices range from $30 - $150 depending on the brand, adapter type and vendor. If you do not know which adapter is right for your hardware, check with your computers manufacturer. You may purchase adapters at most stores where electronics are sold. Adapters with a power rating of 100mW or greater will provide faster access.

All devices connected to the Campus Net, Wireless Internet Service, must be running Virus Software with a Virus Pattern that is less than 30 days old. It is a best practice to update the Virus pattern or virus definitions every day as new viruses are being released all the time.
