Internet Explorer 6.0

1. Tools Menu > Internet Options> Connections Tab> LAN Settings button. (See Figure 1)

2. Uncheck "Automatically Detect Settings" if checked.. (See Figure 2)

4. In the Http box type 10.1.28.1
5. Use Port: 8080

Firefox 1.0 (and up)

1. Click on tools > Options.
2. Click on the general tab, then click on "Connection Settings" button.
3. Check "Manual proxy configuration"
  • Enter 10.1.28.1 in the first box, and enter 8080 in the "Port" box.
  • Click "Use this Proxy for all Protocals "
  • See Figure 3

4. Click ok to save and close. Configuration is now complete.

Mac OSX

1. Apple menu > select Location > select Networking.
2. Set "Show" to AirPort.
3. Make sure that under the TCP/IP tab "Configure" is set to use DHCP
4. Make sure that under the Proxies tab
  • Enter 10.1.28.1 in each field (make sure the box beside the field is checked)
  • 8080 should be included in each Port
  • Leave the bypass proxy box blank and do not check the "Use Passive FTP mode"
  • See Figure 4

5. Make sure that under the AirPort tab "show AirPort status in menu bar" is checked
6. Click "Apply Now" to save these settings. Your Mac should now be configured to use the wireless network.
